The Douro river house- finding Porto Carvoerio in 2017

Living in Porto was already a dream for us but we quickly found the allure of the Douro valley was calling us and so we went exploring. Each Sunday we would drive up the beautiful road that runs from Porto along the valley and one day we decided to explore the villages, close to Porto but on the other side. Twenty minutes outside Porto we turned right, over the river and ascended the hills and then took the first sign we saw to the river, And there we found Porto Carvoerio and in it the amazing river house
